Not only is Ratatouille one of my favorite movies, but it is now one of my favorite veggie dishes.

I've been blogging over at Closing the Gap these days. Still me, and still delicious, come join me!

Can I just say how excited I was when I first read about this month's challenge? Then after a few weeks all that excitement turned into fear and thoughts of excuses I could make to not have to do it, I just didn't think I'd have the time, or the will to bake with this recently stifling weather! However the directions say to rise the bread in 90° environment, so technically it would have been perfect.
So, I'm a dance teacher. I love it so much the only problem is that the studio is quite a way away from my abode. So when I have an hour in between classes I teach, or say two hours between my last teaching class and a teacher rehearsal for our end of the year concert dance, I don't have enough time to drive home and back. Well, that and I don't want to spend the money on gas with it being as expensive as it is lately.
This post is actually from May, but I never got around to posting it until now; obviously.

I was blog hopping one day and came upon this blog: Daydream Delicious
The owner hasn't posted for quite a while, but I think she should pick it up again because her concoctions were fabulous, this is one of them.
Here's another website where I get my much needed food porn fix.
Food Porn Daily
Hey, at least I'm admitting that I have a problem.
Isn't that the first step?
I doubt I'll ever make it to step two...
I know which blog the spinach smoothie inspiration was from! It was Marika from madcapCupcake! Thanks for leaving a comment Marika! You make me want to go vegan. Now only if I could break myself from a love affair with milk, sushi and baked goods with eggs and butter.
Oh, and guess what movie the post title is quoted from?
You guess it right, you get a dollar; one dolla! one dolla!
My favorite childhood game, thanks to baba.

For the life of me I can't remember where saw a post of someone who had ventured to try an all spinach smoothie. They even tried it with chard instead and admonished that it was a bad idea, I believe her.
If you know who it was, let me know. I hate not giving props where it's deserved, and boy is it deserved for this! - It was madcapcupcake

Saw this on another foodie website (madcapcupcake) and wanted to play. :) Thanks for the reference!

Remember these?
I made these for my beloved on his birthday. They were gone within a few hours. I made them again with my nieces when they were in town and gave quite a few of them to my dance students. They're so spoiled.
Anyway, I didn't have pictures for the yummy things last time, so here they are.
I love anything that has basil, tomatoes, and mozzarella cheese; but if you add olives to it I love it even more. This pizza has to be, hands down, the best I've had. It was so flavorful and I loved the crust; it's always been my favorite part but wow, the flavor the seasoned oil gives to it is great. I'll never have plain old pizza crust again.
So one of my favorite food porn websites is officially down, kaput, gone.
But here are some others that I think I will like just as much.
Food Gawker - which actually seems eerily similar to Tastespotting.

Happy gloating over deliciously beautiful food!
warning: There is potential to get lost in the world wide web of food blogs and photography. Don't blame me if you don't resurface for a while. Hopefully there's nothing cooking on your stove...
I had a few recipes strewn all over the counter, and a printed copy of Tartlette's Lemon Pound Cake was one of them. At around 2 o' clock AJ walked into the office, where I was, and this is how our conversation went.
Hey, are you making lemon pound cake?
why, do you want some?
umm, yes; will I be able to eat it in 15 minutes?
I was so excited, today was the first day of our town's farmer's market. Since it's early in the season there were only a handful of vendors, mostly selling herb starters. Then I saw the rhubarb and thought, I've always wanted to get rhubarb! So I did.
Now what?
I've never cooked or baked with rhubarb. So, I'm on the hunt for a recipe that is sweet, light, and delicious. Preferably using my new bunch of red and green veggies.
UPDATE: There are now two, yes two! recipes with this nummy rhubarb in it.
Bluebarb Crumble
Almond Tarts
Lil' Kim, Ja Rule, you know my faves. Little, but with a lot of Flava Flave.
This little dejeuner was super easy to make, and I adore the cook 'em on the spot tortillas from Costco. Not quite as delish as homemade, but awesome if you've neither the time nor gusto to make your own.
Here's how I threw it down...
Heat up tortilla.
Sprinkle a lil' herb-ed chèvre on top.
Then add pastrami, spinach, tomato, red onion, and red pepper.
Toss with a dash of salt, pepper and parsley.
Wrap it up and voila!
